Welcome to Premier League — Innovation Boost Zone’s summer robotics soccer competition!
Get ready to design, build, and compete with your very own Bluetooth-controlled soccer robot. In this year's edition of Premier League, we’re inviting 20 multidisciplinary teams to take part in an exciting, fast-paced engineering challenge.
No experience? No problem. All materials are provided, workshops will support you through the build process, and starter code is available to help you hit the ground running. Learn more about the game and rules in our Rulebook below.
All Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU) students who have a passion for engineering and/or robotics are encouraged to compete!
The event is scheduled for Friday, August 22nd, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM at the Sears Atrium!
Workshops are optional but highly recommended. They’re dedicated sessions where our team and volunteers assist with robot assembly. However, the Orientation session is mandatory for all participants.
The orientation will take place on August 4, 2025.
Teams can have up to 3 members. A 4th member is permitted only if they are contributing an Android phone for robot control.
Not at all! No experience is required. You'll receive instructions on how to build your robot, and basic starter code will be provided.
No, participants may only register on one team.
You are guaranteed 4 games. If you move on, there are semi-finals and finals games.
All building materials are supplied. You only need to bring an Android phone to control your robot.
Yes! The starter code is fully customizable — feel free to tweak or enhance it to suit your strategy.
